Maintenance Technician
Qualifications and Experience
Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or a related technical field from a recognized institution.
At least 2 years of practical experience in building/facility maintenance.
Previous maintenance experience in a hospital, hotel, commercial building, or other large institution will be an added advantage.
Practical knowledge of electrical, plumbing and general building maintenance.
Ability to diagnose faults and undertake minor repairs independently.
Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
Key Competencies
Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
Good understanding of preventive maintenance.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to prioritize urgent maintenance requests.
High level of integrity, reliability and accountability.
Good record-keeping skills.
Willingness to respond to emergency maintenance needs when required.
