Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and enforce EHS policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
- Conduct workplace inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments (HIRA).
- Lead toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness programs.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, including RCA and CAPA follow up.
- Support emergency preparedness, fire safety. and first aid readiness.
- Monitor environmental compliance (NEMA), waste management, and ESMS activities
- Ensure safe handling and disposal of batteries, chemicals, oils, and industrial materials.
- Maintain statutory EHS documentation and support regulatory reporting
- Oversee machine safety, LOTO, contractor safety, and Permit to Work compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications in First Aid, Fire Safety, or Risk Assessment are an added advantage.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years’ EHS experience in manufacturing, automotive assembly, or industrial operations.
- Hands on experience with Uganda OSH Act and environmental compliance.
- Strong background in risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety training
