Job Details:
Sugar Corporation of Uganda Limited is part of Mehta Group of Companies and the leading producer of mill white Sugar in the Country, Situated at Lugazi.
We are seeking to recruit suitably qualified persons to fill the following positions in Cogeneration and Civil Department.
(1) POST: Boiler Engineer – DCS Operation (1 vacancy):
- Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience: – 4years and above.
- Have sufficient knowledge in boiler and its Auxiliaries
- Knowledge of boiler start up and shutdown.
- Able to maintain all Boiler Operations and record in log sheets.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and adherence to operational guidelines.
(2) POST: Lines Man (1 vacancy):
- Qualification: – Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: – 4- 5 years in the above field.
- Should be conversant with medium voltage network up to 33KV.
- Be in position to analyze and rectify electrical faults overhead line networks.
- Able to climb and work on both wooden concrete electric poles.
(3) POST: Instrumentation Technician (1 Vacancy):
- Qualification: – Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering/ Instrumentation and Control Or Electronics.
- Experience: 3- 4years in the relevant field.
(4) POST: Instrumentation Supervisor:
• Qualification: Degree or Advanced Diploma in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering.
Experience: 5 -10 years working in the relevant field.
-Good knowledge of handling of smart instruments like DP transmitters, Level transmitters, Flow meters, Pressure transmitters and Mag Flow meters
– Proficiency in handling all types of motorized valve, control valve, smart positioners of all makes.
– Trouble shooting related to field cabling and panel wiring.
Able to manage a team of 5-6 technicians
(5) POST: Quantity Surveyor – Civil
- Qualification: – Degree in Building Economics/ Quantity/ Civil Engineering
- Experience: – 2-4years in a related field
- Must have field Experience in Civil and Surveying.
(6) POST: Store Keeper/ Coordinator for Estate/ Sr. Guest House
- Qualification: – Degree/Diploma in Store Management/Ware House Management.
- Experience:
- 2-3 years in Managing miscellaneous store & Inventory.
– Must have field Experience in Civil and Surveying.
Remunerations: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
