General Summary
Review prescriptions made by medical doctors and other clinicians, record medications dispensed and complete all stock and dispensing records.
Key Responsibilities
• Review drug prescriptions by doctors and other clinicians and dispense medications
• Record and complete daily and monthly dispensing totals
• Provide instructions to patients on drug dosing schedules. lilcely side effects and how to avoid them and other safety measures
• Complete quarterly stock inventory
• Participates as a full member of the clinic health care team
• Participate in clinic research activities when requested
Person Specification
• Diploma in dispensing from a recognized institution
• Minimum of 1 year work experience in a clinical setting
• Registered with AI lied Health Professionals’ Council
• Excellent communication shifts
• Computer knowledge and skills
• Basic computer literacy including word processing, excel, internet and power
