Job Details:

Duties:
Reporting
Timely submission of reports and financial information
• Sales Performance Reports
• Production Workshop Performance Reports incl Profitability Analysis Reports
• Treasury Reports
• Debtors Reports
• System reports (TALLY)
• Any other necessary reports

Smooth and Timely Audit Process
• Coordinate both internal and external Audits and insure smooth flow of information.
• Minimal or no preventable issues raised in the Management letter
• Timely resolution of issues raised in the management letter

Working Capital Management
• Debtors Management
• Treasury Management
• Management of Payables / Suppliers
• Inventory Control
• Conduct regular spot checks to ensure accurancy of the inventory being reported
• Minimal stock imbalances between the system and Physical stock
• Produce reports on product profitability and movement to guide in procurement
• Obsolete and damaged sock is properly isolated, valued and disposed off.

Costing and Pricing
• Perform product costing and advise on pricing
• Prepare production-costing worksheets before orders are confirmed to establish the price
• Advise management on pricing of locally produced items
• Compare prices of locally produced items with simillar imported items
• Produce a comparison report on prices used for invoicing in tally against the approved price list and highligth any abnornal discounts.


Policy and system Improvement
• Ensure Proper Policies and procedures are in place.
• Develop and Implement Standard operating procedures.
• Lead the Automation of various processes to improve efficiency.
• Ensure regular updates and Audit of the available accounting software.
• Ensure procedure on proper Accountability.

Statutory and other Legal Requirements
• Timely & Accurate filling of URA Tax Return & NSSF
• Reconcile all URA tax ledgers on a regular basis and investigate any variances
• Ensure that all tax related records both physical files and soft copies are well kept

Cost control – Optimization of Costs
• Propose ways to improve financial performance on cost control
• Any other duties in support of the team

Requirements:
• Finance, business, or accounting degree
• Minimum 5 years in a similar role.
• Experience working in manufacturing sector.
• Good strategic and analytical skills.
• Be tech-savvy.
• Outstanding ethical skills
• Strong communication skills
• Outstanding numerical skills
• Strong attention to details
• ACCA/CPA is an advantage.
