Job Details:

The Country Manager/Head of Commercial will oversee the operations and management of their country. You will be responsible for developing operational plans, managing operations, developing the business and increasing profitability. You will also develop and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and progress reports at key companywide meetings.
As Country Manager/Head of Commercial, you will be responsible for the P&L of the business in the country and building the long-term strategy while focusing on a quarterly execution approach.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Develop operational plans for company growth and improvement of sales. Manage all aspects of the country’s operations end to end:
• Drive originations for Financing by applying local nuances for market fit.
• Ensure client fulfillment operations - pre-delivery processes, and the excellent management of the fleet in the country.
• Drive a strong culture of customer service across all functions and departments.
• Work collaboratively with all Global Heads to build out excellent operations across all the pillars - Collections, Repossession and Disposal
• Build and maintain a good business relationship with partners such as financial institutions, OEMs and car dealers.
• Implement and manage directly all marketing and sales strategies from acquisition to conversion for both online and offline channels and identify the best channels to focus on
• Build and ensure proper structure for each business channel to ensure we drive good profitability and efficiency across all channels.
• Continually assess company progress, sales and marketing successes and compile strategic goals reports to submit to superiors in line with reporting timelines. This among others will include budget performance, sales growth or declines, new business leads and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee the hiring, training and performance management of staff in your country. Be involved in staff selection, training development, scheduling, performance management and ongoing professional development of employees
• Set the vision for the country's operations and define the overall strategy from growth to scale.
• Continuously explore opportunities for launching new revenue streams or innovative business models related to our core segments: automotive, mobility and financing
• Build strong executive presence, trusting and mutually beneficial relationships with customers, suppliers and 3rd party partners, and act as the face of the company at relevant industry and trade events.
• Maintain and sustain the company’s core values and leadership behaviours.
• Improve our sales channels and grow community engagement.
• Work closely with product owners to ensure product market fit.
• Ensure a data-driven decision-making process across the organization.
• Implement and ensure a P&L culture is entrenched across the organization. As Country Manager, you take responsibility for the company's financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability, and cash flow management.
• Passionately drive continuous improvement initiatives across all facets of the country's operations. Benchmark internally and externally while driving the organization towards best-in-class performance.
• Maintain, manage, and establish as necessary key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
• Work closely with the COO to ensure that Group vision is properly deployed locally with respect of local constraints and that business opportunities are proactively shared
• Manage the annual budget together with the COO to ensure objectives are met within financial and resources available.


TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Strong communication, organization and negotiation skills
• Motivated self-starter with the ability to work with little or no supervision
• Excellent data analytics skills and ability to understand and interpret data patterns
• Proven track record of leading successful, innovative commercialization
• A deep understanding of the country’s local nuances to ensure adherence to laws and regulations
• Solid understanding of budgeting and financial planning
• Good people management skills
• Strong reporting skills

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
• Ability to define the long-term business strategy while also addressing the hands-on tactical needs of the business at all levels
• Proactive, ethical, high energy, hands-on manager with great interpersonal skills to function across all levels of the organization as well as with external entities
• Thoughtful and demonstrates good judgment and strong decision-making based on accurate and timely analysis
• Strong organizational and project management skills; attention to detail
• Proven experience building strong business partnerships and executive presence; able to establish credibility and support with other stakeholders
• The data-oriented mindset with the ability to understand well the metrics of the activity
• Ability to manage a large team with different skills and varying levels of seniority.
• Experience in managing marketplace operations, the banking industry or the automotive sector will be highly valued.
• Results-oriented approach to work; willingness to do whatever it takes to help the team.
• Ability to identify and implement efficiencies and process improvements.
• Able to deliver the highest standards of customer service.
• Strong problem-solving and creative skills.
• Understand the extended enterprise and have an appreciation for value creation based on the understanding of the overall vision for the business

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
• BSc or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering or related
• Extensive training in sales, marketing or finance, team building, leadership, management and other business areas building, leadership, management and other business areas

EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 8 years of sales and business development experience with increasing levels of responsibility
• Extensive experience in managing complex projects and growing/scaling an unstructured business.
• Experience working in a matrix, extremely dynamic, fast-paced, results-oriented multi-country environment; and prioritization
