Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
1. Conducting analysis and market research to create a viable investment pipeline Supporting the team throughout the investment process from deal sourcing and screening, to deal completion and disbursement.
2. Supporting investment due diligence, financial modelling, budgeting, strategy analysis, financial review, and valuation for the investments under consideration Participating in post-investment portfolio monitoring and reporting, using both financial and social impact metrics to provide management with business performance intelligence
3. Producing marketing documents, presentations, financial and impact reports for the various stakeholders.
4. Maintaining up-to-date information on the investee portfolio and provide reports as required by the Client, Activity, and its stakeholders.
5. Coordination of daily portfolio management, compliance, and client service activity within a dedicated support team framework
6. Establish a network of capital providers and financial institutions to facilitate funding
7. Coordinate/provide investment support, education, and awareness to investees through match making programs and symposiums.
8. Work with both the MEL and Grant's teams in reviewing and aligning the subcontractors into submitting timely deliverables
9. Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with the provisions of the Activity's process flow manual
Required Skills and Qualifications
1. Bachelor's Degree or higher in Finance or related discipline.
2. Exposure to deal sourcing, analysis, due diligence, investment readiness support, impact measurement and portfolio management across different sectors.
3. Understanding of different financing Tools; - debt financing, mezzanine, equity, grants etc
4. Can build financial models and conduct detailed financial analysis generating actionable insights with a sound understanding of corporate finance.
5. Experience to Business development support, investment readiness support, technical assistance towards entrepreneurs to provide sustainable solutions for their businesses.
6. Self-starter and allrounder: willingness to take bold steps and to bring the organization with you, resulting in new investment opportunities, sustainable performance of the portfolio, and highly motivated colleagues and portfolio entrepreneurs.
7. Team player with strong project management and investment skills: You can take ownership of key workstreams, lead investment processes while empowering other team members.
8. Entrepreneurial experience and mindset. You have been a part of, or have worked with entrepreneurs and understand their needs
9. 3+ years' experience in management, experience in deal origination, deal due diligence, deal negotiation, and deal structuring.
