Location : Head office (With regular travel to branches)

Role purpose
Provide independent assurance on the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management and governance across Kray’s branches, financial operations and digital channels.

Key responsibilities

Conduct risk-based audits of branches and head office operations, including surprise cash counts.
Review loan appraisal, approvals, disbursements, collateral records, arrears and recoveries.
Audit cash handling, bank reconciliations, ATM settlements and digital transactions.
Assess expenditure, procurement, payroll, assets and accounting controls.
Identify control weaknesses and fraud indicators, and conduct authorised investigations.
Prepare clear audit reports and verify implementation of agreed corrective actions

Qualifications and experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration or a related field.
At least three years of relevant audit experience, preferably in microfinance or financial services.
CPA, ACCA or CIA qualification, or demonstrable progress towards one, is an advantage.
Strong analytical skills, professional judgement and report writing ability.
High integrity, confidentiality and ability to work independently.
Willingness to travel regularly to branches
