Job Details:
LABORATORY TECHNICIANS (02)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct routine tests and analyses on mineral samples
- Operate, maintain, and clean laboratory equipment and instruments
- Prepare reagents/solutions per approved procedures and support chemical/physical analysis
- Record and maintain accurate laboratory results
- Follow quality control, health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Report equipment faults, unusual results, and safety incidents to the supervisor
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of lab materials and waste
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or a related field
- Relevant laboratory experience, preferably in mining, geology
- Good knowledge of laboratory procedures, sample handling, and safety requirements
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
- Computer literacy and good record-keeping skills will be an added advantage
