About the role:
We are looking for Commission-Based Collections Agents who will be responsible for contacting clients, following up on outstanding payments, and ensuring timely collections for the credit portfolio in line with Numida’s policies. They will work closely with the Credit Operations team, ensuring client accounts are effectively managed, and contributing to the overall success of the collections effort.
Responsibilities:
• Regularly contact clients to recover overdue amounts, follow up on promises to pay, and maintain accurate records of interactions in the CRM.

• Provide daily, weekly, and monthly updates to the Team Leaders and Credit Operations Manager on recovery progress and challenges faced in the field.
Establish positive relationships with clients to encourage timely payments and resolve any issues leading to delayed collections.
Ensure all interactions and recovery methods are in line with Numida’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and relevant regulatory requirements
Meet or exceed the set collection targets, maximizing recovery efforts across the assigned client Base
Work closely with team leaders, supervisors, and other stakeholders to align recovery strategies with company goals.
Quickly identify client issues and develop strategies to rehabilitate and retain clients to avoic urther loan detaults
Escalate cases involving fraud or legal recovery requirements to your supervisor.
Maintain confidentiality of client information and safeguard company assets and data.
Conduct field visits in assigned territories while adhering to safety and operational guidelines.
Represent Numida professionally and uphold the company’s values in all client interactions.
Your Profile:
Basic level of education (ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English and local languages)
Fluency in Eastern languages and working knowledge of English is required.
Candidates must be residents or willing to relocate to Mbale, Eastern Uganda.
Prior experience in collections, sales, fieldwork, or customer engagement is an added advantage.
Ability to use smart phones and digital applications for reporting and client engagement.
Strong negotiation, relationship management, and conflict resolution skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated integrity and accountability.
Comfortable working in the field and engaging clients face-to-face(Comfortable with extensive field travel)
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
High ethical standards with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity
