Job Details:

The Embassy of Ireland Karamoja Bursary Scheme Programme is implemented by Straight Talk Foundation (STF) with
financial support from the Embassy of Ireland. This is an opportunity for young people from Karamoja Sub-Region, who are
economically disadvantaged; marginalized, vulnerable and are academically bright to continue with their education to the next
level under this programme. A total of 50 scholarship slots( 30 for degree and 20 for diploma) are available in 2026 at Post Secondary!
Eligibility Criteria:


1. Applicants must have obtained 3 to 2 principal passes in the 2025 Uganda Advanced Certificate Examinations (UACE).

2. Must be a Karamojong and benefited from the same scholarship during secondary education.

3. Degree applicants must have received admissions from Public universities only.

4. Diploma applicants must have received admissions from public tertiary institutions only.

Application procedure

1. Application letter- explaining why you think you deserve to continue on this bursary, and please, include your reliable telephone contacts.

2. Attach the following:
a) A copy of your UACE Results and former school ID;
b) A current copy of the admission letter to the university/Tertiary institution you have been admitted to.

c) Your current passport-size photo;
d) A copy of your Parent/Guardian National ID;
e) A copy of your Previous Bursary scholarship award letter.

f) A map to your home, if the previous address changed. Beginning with the nearest significant trading centre, clearly labelled. *Presentation of false documents/information shall result in AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION at any stage of the scholarship*
