The Allied Health Professionals Council (AHPC) was established by Allied Health Professionals Act: Cap 296 to regulate, supervise and control the training, practice and for other related matters of Allied Health Professionals in Uganda.
Subject to Policy 14(1) of the Allied Health Professionals Act, and Policy 3.4.1 (a) of the AHPC Human Resources and Procedure manual as amended (2020), and Minute No 9th GC/42/04/26 of the Governing Council sitting dated 23rd April 2026, Management is urgently seeking an outstanding candidate for the vacant position of Human Resource and Administration Officer as per specifications below:
Post: Human Resource and Administration officer
Salary Scale: AHPC – AC4
Reports to: Finance and Administration Manager
Duty Station: Secretariate Kampala
Job Purpose
To undertake day to day human resource management and general administrative functions of the
Type of Employment
Three Year Renewable Contract, subject to satisfactory performance
Academic Qualifications
The Applicant should possess:
i. An Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource management or Business Administration (HR Option) or Arts, Social Sciences, industrial Psychology or equivalent related field and qualification with a bias in Human Resource Management from a recognized awarding institution.
II. Must have either a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management or Public Administration from a recognized awarding institution,
iii. A certificate in administrative law from a recognized awarding institution is an added advantage
Experience
Must have not less than Three (3) years of relevant working experience in Human Resource management or similar work with a Public Institution or a reputable organization
Other Core Competences
The Ideal candidate should demonstrate strong Interpersonal and Communication skills, High Level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality, Knowledge of Labour laws and employment regulations, good report writing and computer literacy skills, Problem solving, ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment,
