Job DescriptionCoca-Cola Beverages Africa is the largest African Coca-Cola bottler, accounting for 40% of all Coca-Cola volumes on the continent. In Uganda, we are currently seeking to recruit a Process Operator, based at our Mbarara Plant.

 As a Process Operator, you will report directly to the Team Leader Packaging.

 Key Purpose Statement.

The Process Operator is responsible for operating the process area according to work instructions, conducting quality checks, performing autonomous maintenance, and providing hands-on mechanical repairs to support a stable and efficient production-line performance.

Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesKEY OUTPUTS & ACCOUNTABILITIES.

  • Operateprocess area in strict adherence to work instructions and usage standards to ensure consistent and efficient production.
  • Monitor process parameters and escalate deviations promptly.
  • Perform start-up, shut-down, and change-over activities efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Perform housekeeping, carry out first-level autonomous maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspections.
  • Support both breakdown and routine repairs of machines to maintain equipment reliability.
  • Maintain line and product quality within defined specifications and document outcomes accurately.
  • Strictly comply with GMP, Food Safety, and SHEQ requirements.
  • Participate in problem solving, continuous improvement, and 5S initiatives.


Qualifications.

  • Minimum requirement: Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, or Process Engineering.

Experience.

  • Minimum Two (2) years working relevant experience within an FMCG environment and adequate experience in machine operation.
  • Basic mechanical understanding and ability to conduct routine machine care.
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and quality testing procedures is desirable.
  • Ability to work shifts in a fast-paced production environment.
