Are you an experienced payables accountant professional with strong expertise in payables? We are looking for results-driven individuals to join our Finance Operations team as Payables Accountants.
We are seeking proactive, analytical, and performance-oriented professionals who thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to a high-performing finance team.
Job Purpose:
To manage end-to-end accounts payable function to ensure accurate invoice processing, timely supplier payments, compliance with tax and internal control requirements, and integrity of financial records. The role also supports effective cash flow planning and liquidity management through accurate forecasting and payment scheduling.
Key Performance Areas and Job Responsibilities
- Invoice Processing and Verification
- Payment Processing and Cash Flow Management Support
- Supplier Reconciliations
- Month-End Closing and Reporting
- Tax and Regulatory Compliance
- Internal Controls and Risk Management
- Vendor Relationship Management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or Commerce from a RENU Member university.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- At least CGPA 4.0.
- Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in accounts payable or financial accounting.
- Experience working with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP).
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Knowledge of tax regulations (VAT/WHT).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
