About the ENRICH PROJECT
The Empowering Neighbourhoods for Resilience, Inclusion and Community Harmony (ENRICH) programme (2025–2028) aims to strengthen socio-economic resilience and social cohesion in Uganda’s Acholi sub-region by empowering communities, institutions, and youth to drive sustainable development. The project focuses on five key community actors—faith leaders through the Inter-Religious Council of Uganda (IRCU), School Management Committees and Parent-Teacher Associations (SMC/PTA), model parents, out-of-school youth, and community-based organizations (CBOs). Through capacity building, climate-smart agriculture promotion, human rights and gender equality advocacy, improved school governance, vocational skills training, and strengthened community participation, the program seeks to enhance livelihoods, improve education outcomes, and expand opportunities for youth. By fostering interfaith collaboration, community leadership, and local ownership of development initiatives, ENRICH aims to create resilient, self-reliant communities with improved incomes, inclusive governance, and stronger protection of human rights and social protection systems.
