Q-Sourcing Limited trading on behalf of our client in clearing and forwarding, we are looking for competent, Semi-skilled and entry level Junior Accounts Clerk to work in Kampala, Uganda.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Accountant, He/She is responsible for helping in the preparation of budgets, financial reports and generation of quotations and invoices. The job holder is also responsible for ensuring that adequate financial and accounting records are maintained.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare full set of Financial Statements
- Preparing petty cash vouchers and recording them in PASTEL to ensure accurate recording and reconciliation.
- Creating invoices and quotations for clients, ensuring all financial documents are accurate and delivered promptly.
- Addressing any discrepancies related to quotations or invoices by liaising with relevant departments or clients to ensure swift resolution.
- Collaborating in the preparation of monthly financial reports, providing necessary data and insights to support financial analysis.
- Performing regular bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between the company’s records and bank statements.
- Employing accounting packages, such as Pastel, to maintain accurate financial records and facilitate efficient operations.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Mandatory Qualification, Experience and Skills Required
Qualification
Diploma in Accountancy or financial management or any related field
Experience:
- Atleast 1 year experience in accounting.
- Experience using Pastel, QuickBooks or similar software
