Job Details:
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Technician on behalf of our esteemed client, a leading manufacturer of plastics based in Uganda.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues with machinery, ensuring quick and effective solutions to minimize production disruptions.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment, ensuring proper setup and alignment for efficient operation.
- Monitor and inspect machinery to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and any modifications made to equipment.
- Work closely with the production team to understand and address mechanical needs and improvements.
- Provide guidance and training to junior technicians and production staff on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the Oral Care or related industry.
- Proficiency in mechanical maintenance and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
