Job Details:
The Plumber will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of all plumbing systems in the hotel, including water supply, drainage, and sanitation systems. This role ensures that all plumbing facilities meet high standards of safety, hygiene, and efficiency, contributing to the smooth operation of the hotel and a superior guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures.
- Inspect plumbing systems regularly to identify and replace worn parts, update systems, and ensure code compliance.
- Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies or guest complaints to resolve issues efficiently.
- Perform preventative maintenance according to the hotel’s maintenance schedule.
- Collaborate with other engineering team members to support maintenance across all hotel utilities.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and hotel policies.
- Assist in planning upgrades and renovations of the hotel’s plumbing systems.
- Monitor water pressure and temperature to ensure optimal performance.
- Participate in training and development programs as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Certificate or Diploma in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience in plumbing, preferably in a hotel, hospital, or large commercial facility.
- Knowledge of Ugandan plumbing codes and international standards.
- Experience with water heaters, booster pumps, sewage treatment systems, and greywater recycling systems is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and plumbing schematics.
