Job Details:

The Land and Social Graduate Trainee at EACOP will be instrumental in supporting the organization's initiatives related to Land and Social performance and community engagement and development. This position offers a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about responsible project development, inclusive and social impact.

Community Engagement:

  • Work closely with community leaders and members to understand their perspectives, concerns, and expectations.
  • Assist in organizing community meetings and events to foster open communication and address community needs.

Resettlement Planning:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of resettlement plans, ensuring they align with regulatory standards and community well-being.
  • Assist in the identification and documentation of affected households and individuals.

Social Impact Assessment:

  • Participate in the assessment of the social impacts of the project on local communities.
  • Collaborate with external consultants and internal teams to gather data and insights for impact assessments.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of land acquisition, community engagements, and resettlement activities.
  • Prepare reports summarizing key findings, challenges, and progress in land and social aspects of the project.

Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Collaborate with government agencies,PAPS, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and other stakeholders involved in land and social aspects.
  • Facilitate coordination meetings and information sharing.

Compliance Monitoring:

  • Assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with social and environmental standards.
  • Contribute to the development of strategies to address non-compliance issues
  • Support the provision of response to community grievances, ensuring that concerns are properly documented and addressed in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of social performance indicators, including livelihood restoration and community development programs.
  • Promote awareness and understanding of EACOP’s land and social commitments within communities and among local leaders.
  • Support field teams in conducting socio-economic surveys and data collection for ongoing monitoring efforts


Bachelor’s degree (e.g., Social sciences, Land Economics, Land Surveying, Anthropology, Community Development Studies).

  • Strong interest in land issues, community engagement, and social impact.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct fieldwork and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with social impact assessment and resettlement principles is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute positively to EACOP’s social and land access objectives
