Job Details:
Lancet Laboratories Uganda is hiring a Courier Clerk to join their team. This role involves ensuring the safe and timely transportation of laboratory specimens and documents while providing excellent service to clients. The position requires a reliable and professional individual with good organizational skills.
Minimum Requirements:
To qualify for the role of Courier Clerk, you must meet the following criteria:
1. Education:
o Must possess a UCE Certificate (Uganda Certificate of Education).
2. Licenses:
o A valid CLASS (A) driving permit is mandatory.
3. Additional Qualifications (Preferred but not mandatory):
o Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology or Phlebotomy is an added advantage.
4. Work Experience:
o 2–3 years of relevant working experience, preferably with corporate companies, is an added advantage.
5. Skills and Attributes:
o Team player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
o Accuracy: Strong attention to detail and precision in carrying out tasks.
Responsibilities:
As a Courier Clerk, you may be responsible for:
1. Specimen Collection & Delivery:
o Safely collecting and delivering laboratory specimens, documents, and other materials to and from clients and branches.
2. Vehicle Management:
o Ensuring the assigned vehicle or motorcycle is in good working condition and adhering to traffic regulations.
3. Client Interaction:
o Maintaining positive relationships with clients through professionalism and timely service.
4. Documentation:
o Keeping accurate records of deliveries and collections.
