Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure close collaboration with the Production Manager to discuss maintenance schedules, report issues, and provide updates on machine status.
• Develop and maintain electrical and electronic systems, encompassing instrumentation, control systems and industrial automation.
• Design and test electronic circuits and systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to electrical and electronic systems, including PLC, APC, DCS, and SCADA.
• Test solid–state circuitry to identify and replace defective components in analogue and digital equipment.
• Design and modify motor power control apparatus circuits.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for proposed systems, including equipment selection.
• Budget Management: Overseeing the budget for maintenance and repair activities, ensuring expenditures are within allocated limits including but not limited to;
• Expenditures: Authorizing the purchase of necessary electronic components and tools within the set budget.
• Cost Efficiency: Identifying cost-saving opportunities in maintenance procedures without compromising quality and safety.
• Reporting. Document and process reports on all maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, findings of the diagnostic tests and downtimes.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics Engineering from a recognized institution of higher learning.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and engineering principles and techniques
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
