Job Details:
Responsible for operating a bus to transport passengers safely and efficiently.
This role includes following traffic regulations, safety guidelines, and providing excellent customer service to passengers.
Activities
• Operate the bus in a safe and responsible manner, following all traffic laws and regulations.
• Safely transport passengers to their destinations, ensuring their comfort and safety during the journey.
• Follow prescribed routes and schedules, making adjustments as necessary due to traffic or other delays.
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including those with special needs, ensuring a positive and courteous experience.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in proper working condition and report any issues promptly.
• Complete required paperwork, including passenger counts, route records, mileage logs, and incident reports, accurately and in a timely manner.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of safety equipment and emergency procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing passenger inquiries, concerns, and requests professionally and courteously.
• Report maintenance issues promptly and ensure regular maintenance and cleaning of the bus.
• Respond to emergencies, such as accidents or breakdowns, following established procedures for reporting and seeking assistance.
• Adhere to company policies, state and federal regulations, and industry standards related to transportation and bus operation.
Person Specifications
Training, Skills & Experience
• Operates buses of 30 PAX capacity
• Driving Permit Class DH/D
• Valid defensive driving certificate
• Medical Fitness to work certificate.
• First aid certificate
• Minimum experience of 4 to 7 years
