Job Summary:
Sales and Distribution driver shall sell and or deliver company goods and merchandise directly from their truck within the assigned territory.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
• Driving a truck while making deliveries and or selling products to customers.
• Delivering purchase orders and informing existing customers of any new products and offers.
• Increasing sales by promoting products and providing feedback about competitor behavior.
• Accounting for the safe and timely delivery of purchased products.
• Maintaining sales and delivery records, as well as meeting sales and delivery targets.
• Preventing damage to the delivery truck/van and the company products being transported.
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the interior and the exterior of the van/ truck.
• Performing basic truck /van maintenance tasks, such as checking tire pressure, and gas and oil levels.
Job Requirements
• UACE certificate with at least a principal pass or its equivalent.
• A diploma in marketing shall be an added advantage.
• 5-year experience as a Driver salesman in FMCG setup.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Exceptional ability in meeting sales and delivery targets.
• Extensive experience in identifying, recruiting and retention of new customers and opening new markets.
• Ability to assume responsibility for the delivery truck and the products there-in.
• Experience in recordkeeping and use of sales and stock documents.
• Working knowledge of basic truck maintenance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
