Job Summary
To provide assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management and governance processes and to frame recommendations for improvement.

Overall Responsibilities
1. Participate in the development of risk based Annual Internal Audit plan.
2. Conduct Risk Based Integrated Audits (RBIAs) to provide independent assurance on risk management, internal controls and governance in accordance with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards.
3. Conduct special audits/assignments to substantiate cases of fraud and other irregularities reported.
4. Track implementation of prior internal and external audits’ recommendations using observation tracking tool (OTT) and validate the supporting documentation.
5. Guide management in risk management (objective setting, risk identification, risk assessment, risk response, control activities, information & communication and monitoring) in accordance with COSO/ISO31000 Framework.
6. Witness quarterly stock take and on sample basis, test controls over stock.
7. Chair/take minutes of the departmental meetings on rotational basis.

Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies:
• A Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) in Finance or Accounting or Related field
Professional qualification (ACCA or CPA or CIA)
• 3 Years Relevant Experience
