Job Details:

Purpose: To Assist the Head Human Resource to develop, implement and maintain effective HR Records and Information, staff welfare services, recruitment, and tenure of employment in line with the HR policies, terms and conditions of service, and departmental guidelines.

Key Result Areas:
• Monitor and track daily attendance and absenteeism and submit monthly reports for necessary action in line with the HR manual and reporting standards.
• Maintain up-to-date staff files with all the relevant documents including, leave (annual, sick, special), staff appraisals, records of discipline, etc in line with the company policy and records management guidelines.
• Carry out the registration process for new staff, in line with HR policy and existing HR records management guidelines, and unit operational standards.
• Manage the company’s general leave roster, process leave applications, track leave records/entitlements and update staff leave balances in line with the HR policy provisions.
• Maintain a comprehensive system for managing solicited and unsolicited applications for employment, sort and maintain records and avail when appropriate for staff recruitment in line with recruitment strategy and records management guidelines
• Organize and schedule interviews for short-listed candidates and liaise with respective interview panelists in line with the recruitment plan and HR provisions.
• Initiate the process of referencing and background checks on successful interview candidates, review and advise management on reference information received on new employees in line with HR policy and standards
• Process staff applications for salary advances, medical refunds, staff loans and letters of undertaking to financial institutions in line with applicable NICL policies.
• Monitor the tenure of employment for all staff (probation, contract, acting appointments, deferment of probation, temporary, and retirement schedules) in line with HR policy and applicable national laws.
• Attend to all staff inquiries, complaints, suggestions, etc., and recommend and/or discuss appropriate action in line with HR policy and applicable operational procedures.
• Any other duty that may be assigned to you.


Academic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource is an added advantage.

Job Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience in a similar position.
