Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly presentable and experienced Waitress to join our team at a fine dining restaurant located on Lumumba Avenue. The ideal candidate should be sharp, quick, and possess exceptional customer service skills. The waitress will be responsible for ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests through attentive service, timely delivery of food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. This position requires flexibility to work in shifts, including day and night schedules. The candidate should reside in or around areas near town like Mulago, Makerere, Nsambya, etc.
Responsibilities:
• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Present menus, make recommendations, and take accurate food and beverage orders.
• Provide prompt and efficient service to ensure a smooth dining experience.
• Ensure tables are set and clean before seating guests.
• Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner.
• Monitor guests’ needs and respond promptly to their requests.
• Check-in with guests to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns.
• Up-sell menu items and promote restaurant specials.
• Handle cash and process payments accurately.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including tables, chairs, and floor.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of the restaurant before and after service.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and maintain personal hygiene standards.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience as a Waitress in a fine dining establishment is required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation and the ability to handle guest concerns professionally.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including wine and cocktail selections.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Resides in or around areas near town like Mulago, Makerere, Nsambya, etc
