Job Details:
We are searching for a responsible and qualified individual with a good eye for colour, texture, fabrics and pattern to liaise with clients, technical, and marketing staff to plan and develop textile designs.
Key Responsibilities include;
• To come up with two-dimensional designs that can be used, often as a repeat design, in the production of knit, weave and printed fabrics or textile products.
• Producing sketches, designs and samples for presentation to customers
• To accurately interpret and represent clients’ ideas
• To work out design formulae for a group of samples
• To assess and approve completed items and production standards
• Using specialist software and computer-aided design (CAD) programs to develop a range of designs
• To Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new design and production techniques and textile technology
• To develop new design concepts
• To Ensure that projects are completed on time
• To make industry contacts and build up a portfolio of work
Qualifications;
• At least a Bachelor’s degree
• Proven experience in a related field
Competencies;
• Proficient Computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
