Job Details:
Holy Cross Orthodox Hospital is a faith based general hospital owned by Uganda Orthodox Church under the Network of Uganda Orthodox Medical Bureau. As a Senior Nursing Officer you report to the Medical Superintendent
Job Purpose
To assess, plan and evaluate the quality of nursing care and effective management of wards and defined units.
Key Activities:
• Planning, monitoring, and evaluating nursing activities.
• Supervising, coaching, training and mentoring mainly nursing staff to maintain quality service provision
• Manage performance of nursing staff
• Participate in roster planning & monitoring to ensure 24 hours nursing coverage
• Participate in the hiring process
Qualification, Experience & Competences
Qualification
• A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or its equivalent from a recognized University or Institution
Experience
• Should have working experience of at least three (3) years, at Nursing Officer or Senior Assistant
• A comprehensive understanding of the nursing process and measurement
Post-Graduate Qualification (Diploma or Masters) in Administration, Management, Hospital Management or the equivalent from a recognized Institution/University.
Competences
• Ability to adhere to clinical care set procedures, systematizing own progress plan to ensure that the objectives of the hospital are fulfilled
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional Analytical and problem-solving skills
