As an Enrolled Midwife you report to the Assistant Nursing Officer
Job Purpose
The main role of the job holder is to provide quality nursing care services and public care interventions to patients.
Key Activities:
• Assist the Registered Midwife in delivering babies, preparing birth attestations and monitoring the general health condition of the mother and the newborn
• Provide counselling to mothers on pregnancy and post-pregnancy management, including proper breastfeeding techniques, bathing and preparation of bottles
Receiving, registering admissions, discharges and deaths.
Qualification, Experience & Competences
Qualification
• Must have Enrolled Midwifery Certificate from a recognized Institution.
Experience
• Must be registered with the Uganda
• Valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Uganda
• At least three (3) years’ work experience
Competences
• Records and Information Management Nurses and Midwives Council.
• Management of organizational environment.
• Time management
• Information communication technology (ICT)
