Job title: 19 Drivers – Sino Truck
Department: Out-growers
Overall purpose of the job.
To safely drive company Sino-Truck vehicles for purposes of transporting company sugarcane from Kayunga Sugar Project to Kakira Sugar Limited factory for milling
Key Responsibilities
• Drive company Sino Truck vehicles from Kayunga Sugar Project to Kakira for purposes of transporting company cane for milling at Kakira Sugar Limited factory
• Regularly check the mechanical working condition of the Sino Truck, like tyre pressure, engine oil and water levels.
• Report any malfunctioning on the Sinio Truck to the Workshop superintendent for quick remedial action.
• Clean the truck as and when required.
• Adhere to the safety, health and environment policy of the company.
• Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the Overseer/Management from time to time.
Knowledge, qualifications Experience
Education: Certificate in Truck Operations training.
Experience, Skills and Competences: A valid driving permit free of any endorsements for Heavy trucks with at least two (2) years driving experience in a large and busy commercial plantation environment.
