We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Operation Head to lead our technical and production operations at our Luwero facility.
Position Summary:
The Technical Operation Head will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of technical operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and facility management. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise and leadership skills, capable of optimizing processes and leading a diverse team in a multicultural environment. This position is crucial for maintaining operational excellence and ensuring the efficiency and safety of all technical operations at Pro-Industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
• Manage day-to-day operations of the technical department, ensuring smooth workflow and optimal productivity.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of all machinery and equipment.
Leadership & Team Development:
• Lead and mentor a diverse technical team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and safety.
• Establish training programs to enhance the technical skills of the workforce and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct performance evaluations and implement development plans for team members.
Process Optimization & Quality Control:
• Implement process improvements and lean manufacturing principles to reduce costs and increase productivity.
• Ensure compliance with all quality standards and regulatory requirements, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the efficiency and quality of production processes.
Safety & Compliance:
• Promote and enforce a culture of safety, ensuring that all activities are conducted in compliance with safety policies and regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and implement safety training programs for technical staff.
Project Management:
• Lead technical projects, including new equipment installations, facility upgrades, and process changes.
• Coordinate with other departments, including procurement, finance, and human resources, to ensure project success.
