Activities
The position holder will be responsible for:
• Represent the Project Management Team in meetings, workshops, seminars with Contractors and Authorities.
• Defend and follow the Local Content Strategy and management plan .
• Ensure that all project activities are carried out in compliance with local regulations especially regarding the local content.
• Upon specific request, define and ensure that the work execution and progress in Uganda is aligned with the project schedule and priorities.
• Interface between other the Company entities (in particular Land acquisition, Social Affairs, Environment, BD), the Project Management team and EPC Contractors.
• Provide in-country technical support and represent the Project in meetings with Partners and Authorities, when required.
• Organize specific internal and external reporting accordingly.
• Ensure that knowledge transfer and feedback to all stakeholders takes place.
• Develop a good oversight on Projects activities in Country.
• Prepare and promote documentation for the overall Projects when and where required.
• Contribute to development of local employees.
• Support the Contracts & procurement Managers (TEPU and PMT) in their activities
• Provide any necessary support to F OPS and Training Manager related to their activities of Operator’s and Maintenance training (with UPIK, MDAs).
• If necessary and according to the candidate profile, participate in the re-organization of the affiliate after First Oil, with the demobilization of part of the project Surface team and the creation of Engineering, Construction & Projects entity (“Travaux neufs”).
• Finally participate in recording the Project feedback, aiming at preparing the close out of the project.
Qualifications/Experience required
Qualification: Bachelor's degree in engineering or business.
Experience:
• Minimum 8 to 15 years’ experience in Petroleum Operations or equivalent heavy Industries, including leadership positions with experience of National Content and relationship with Contractors and Authorities.
• Good communication skills and good capacity of clear explanation.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
