Job Details:
Oversee overall project M&E during eCHIS scale up and build capacity of district teams on eCHIS implementation monitoring and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
Capacity building
• Support national teams as they build capacity of biostats for district level M&E.
• Train the field officers, district staff, and other project personnel, in collaboration with the manager of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning, on how to collect, analyze, and interpret data for decision making and action planning.
Data Analysis
• Participating in the development and maintenance of databases to capture relevant project data.
• Monitoring and preparing reports on the eCHIS project quality metrices, score card and the log frame indicators, carry out any other data analysis and generate insights.
• Support analysis for internal and external reporting of the project progress and findings.
Reporting
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for internal and external reporting on the project activities, and performance indicators.
• Creating visual and written collateral to communicate output and outcome data to stakeholders.
• Document lessons learned from the project to inform implementation, as well as for knowledge sharing with the broader health practitioner community.
Collaboration
• Work closely with eCHIS consortium partners to deliver assigned tasks as shall be agreed on by MOH and partners.
• Participate in the weekly and bi-weekly partner engagement meetings and provide updates on the MEL project activities.
• Work with the MOH M&E officer, district Bio-statisticians and DHTs where necessary to produce and validate the necessary reports.
Research
• Develop or review existing data collection instruments to support project monitoring and evaluation, lead the field data collection activities, data entry, cleaning, and analysis for all eCHIS surveys and operations research activities.
• Contribute to research and experiments or initiatives by participating in design meetings, fieldwork, training, quality assurance, data management, etc. as needed.
• Prepare and document any research outputs arising from the activities.
Academic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Social sciences, public health, health services research or related field.
Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodies
Post-Graduate qualification in M&E is and added advantage.
Work experience required
Minimum of Five (5) years’ relevant experience in a similar organization with one (1) at supervisory level.
