2 Mud Logging Supervisors – Geology & Reservoir Project Team (2positions)
Location: Kampala, Uganda,
Mobilized to Albert Lake, construction sites or other cities if required.

Primary function:
• Responsible for geological operations during the development wells drilling, under the leadership of Chief Operations Geologist. To prepare the work program, budget and supervise the operations including well logging, mudlogging, data acquisition, etc.

Responsibilities:
• Be responsible for the well drilling on site mud logging related work, for example the mud data collection, report preparing, mud logging routine work execution etc.
• Establish and execute mud logging operation technical standard. Organize and verify the mud logging operation related design of critical well.
• Management of operational mud logging operation team including mud logging assistant supervisor, and coordinate geological supervisor and well logging supervisor, in charge of the mud logging operation geological proposal, and supporting geological operation proposals and wel test data acquisition proposals.
Draft budget for single project and select suitable contractor
• Supervise operational status such as drilling, mud logging operations, resolve problems and recommend on major problems.
• Select and promote the appropriate (or new) technology for mud logging during drilling. To train local staff.
• Other assignments from the superior.


Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree or above in Geology or related profession of petroleum, At least 5 years of the related working experience in oil and gas industry.
• Experience in development wells drilling and completion activities is required.

Knowledge:
• Familiar with knowledge of geophysics, logging and mud log.
• Familiar with project management, commercial contract, management of cost and related knowledge.
• Be aware of standard oil laws. policies and legislations.
