Job Location – Bayimba Centre, Buikwe / Mukono
Bayimba Cultural Foundation is a multiple-branched organization that focuses on uplifting arts and culture in Uganda through cultural exchange and creativity. The Foundation hosts high-quality arts festivals, offers training courses and workshops for aspiring artists, and facilitates creative development. It strives to reach as wide an audience as possible, reaching all age groups and income levels. Bayimba is unique in its multidisciplinary approach combined with its engaging efforts to “explore and experience”.
The Organization is seeking a highly organized Logistics Coordinator to support the Skilling and Training programmes. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth implementation of logistics, manage participant services and materials, maintain welfare facilities and safety protocols, and collect data.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Logistics Implementation:
- Coordinate logistics for training programs, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
- Ensure all training programs and curriculums are implemented as planned.
- Participants Support:
- Onboard participants, ensuring access to necessary services and materials.
- Manage participant welfare, including provision of food, accommodation, and other essential services.
- Safety and Security:
- Ensure safety protocols are in place and implemented.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Data Collection and Analysis:
- Collect and analyze data on program logistics, including participant feedback and program impact.
- Use data to inform program improvements and report on program effectiveness.
- Facility Management:
- Ensure training facilities are well-maintained, safe, and conducive to learning.
- Coordinate with facility managers to ensure necessary services are provided
Requested qualifications
- Diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain management or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in logistics, program coordination or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with youth or vulnerable groups.
- Familiarity with Ugandan logistics and transportation industry.
- Certificate in logistics or related field.
