Job Details:
As a Cashier, you will be responsible for handling financial transactions, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring accuracy in cash handling. Your role will involve processing payments, issuing receipts, and maintaining proper accounting records. You will work closely with customers, assisting them with their inquiries, and ensuring a smooth and efficient payment process.
Responsibilities:
1. Receive payments from customers for services rendered or products purchased.
2. Process transactions accurately and efficiently using cash registers or electronic payment systems.
3. Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change to customers as required.
4. Maintain accurate cash drawer balances and reconcile transactions at the end of each shift.
5. Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with inquiries, and resolving any payment-related issues.
6. Maintain a clean and organized cashier station, ensuring it is well-stocked with necessary supplies.
7. Follow proper cash handling procedures to ensure the security of cash and minimize discrepancies.
8. Collaborate with other team members to ensure a seamless customer experience and efficient operations.
9. Stay updated on MTN Uganda's products, services, and promotional offers to effectively assist customers.
10. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling, customer service, and privacy.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Proven experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred.
3. Excellent numerical and math skills.
4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling.
5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic payment systems.
8. Integrity and honesty in handling financial transactions.
9. Customer-focused mindset and commitment to providing exceptional service.
10. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
